March 7 Update
Writing:
The kids are starting to write their own Hudsonville History book in class! We are learning all about Hudsonville History during Social Studies, and taking that information to write it in our own words for our own non-fiction books about the history of Hudsonville. They have been pretty interested in some of the old pictures and information that we are learning.
Math:
The kids are learning all about shapes and area in math.
Reading:
The kids are in a club...book clubs! Ask your child what book they are reading for their book club.
Mystery Readers:
We have been loving the Mystery Readers that have come in so far! It's not too late to sign up! Mystery Reader Sign Up Make sure you (or the mystery reader) has a background check already on file. Background Check Link.
Voracious Reader of the Week:
Congratulations to Weston for being our Voracious Reader! Weston is doing amazing in reading, and has really enjoyed different books this year. He's really excited about his new favorite book, which is the one he is reading for book club. Keep up the great reading, Weston!
Super Kid of the Week:
Congratulations to Graham for being our Super Kid of the Week! Graham is a great friend to others, and always can put a smile on your face! Keep up the awesome work, Graham!
Homework:
The one-sided math page on area is due by March 13.
Extra Information:
March 20- Early Release Day, and also celebrate World Down Syndrome Day.


It has been a great week to start our You Are Special Month! Can't wait to celebrate the rest of the kids throughout the month. Please let me know if your child is planning on bringing a special person, so we can get a time scheduled.
