November 21 Update

Writing:

We finished our nonfiction pieces that we have been working on for the last two weeks! I can't wait to read these and learn about the topics your child is an expert on!

For our two days of school next week, we will do some fun Thanksgiving-themed creative writing.

Math:

We took our unit test this week, so next week we will do some fun graphing for our two days of school.

Reading:

The kids have been working on their reading stamina and reading good fit books.  We have also been talking about comparing and contrasting when reading different informational texts.

Voracious Reader of the Week:

Congratulations to Bradley for being this week's Voracious Reader!  Bradley has been doing a great job reading about his topic to get information to write about.  Keep up the great reading, Bradley!

Phonics:

The kids have been learning so much about endangered animals with the new phonics skills, that they made "tshirts" to inform others about endangered animals.

Super Kid:

Congratulations to Jack for being this week's Super Kid!  Jack is a great friend to others, and always knows how to put a smile on our faces!  Keep up the great work, Jack!

Extra Information:

Tuesday- Pie Making Day!

If you haven't filled out the form to let me know you are coming yet, PLEASE DO ASAP.  I need to let Mrs. Lidgard know BEFORE Tuesday.  If no one can come with your child, we will make sure there is an adult to help.

Thank you for everyone who donated the ingredients, we have already been busy measuing the dry ingredients at school.

Please remember to have your child bring 4-5 already cut apples in a ziplock bag to school on Tuesday.

Tuesday, December 2- Park's Holiday Concert at Fellowship

The kids had a blast at their Star Celebration today!
